International Office

At ISM, we believe in the importance of an international education. That's why semesters abroad at one of around 190 partner universities are an integral part of  our full-time study programs. It is one of the largest partner university networks for business studies in Germany, so please take advantage of it for your studies.

Students of all of ISM's full-time master's programs have the additional option to graduate with a double degree from the ISM and a partner university abroad.

This means that, in addition to your regular ISM Master's degree, you can earn an additional, second Master's degree from one of our international partners.

The ISM offers several programs in close colaboration with valued external partners. Some of these include the Business Preparation Program (BPP) offered in partnership with Wit-Rising Education and Technology (China), the collaboration with upGrad (partnership with Indian and US universities), the cooperation with the Helvetic Business School (Switzerland) as well as the partnership with Keystone Global Careers and Wheel of Innovations (India).

ISM students can apply for a variety of scholarships and grants in order to finance their compulsory semester or internships abroad.

The International Office is available to help with the application and counselling regarding these financing options.

If you are not a citizen of EU/EEA/EFTA or a citizen of a country for which students can obtain their necessary residence permit for study purposes after their arrival, you need to apply for a student visa before. Please inform yourself about the visa application procedure and the documents needed (PDF) well in advance. We are happy to help answer questions regarding visa issues.

The IO organizes different tailor-made, customized academic programs such as summer schools or winter schools for groups based on individual wishes and needs of each group or ISM partner university. We're pleased to design a short-term, immersive, on-campus program that combines academic instruction with cross-cultural experiences such as company visits and cultural activities.
